Analogue Quantum Gravity in Hyperbolic Metamaterials

It is well known that extraordinary photons in hyperbolic metamaterials may be described as living an effective Minkowski spacetime, which defined by the peculiar form of strongly anisotropic dielectric tensor these metamaterials. Here we demonstrate within scope this approximation sound waves look similar to gravitational waves, and therefore quantized (phonons) gravitons. Such analogue model quantum gravity looks especially interesting near phase transitions where it becomes possible switch effects on off a function metamaterial temperature. We also predict strong enhancement sonoluminescence ferrofluid based metamaterials, analogous particle creation fields.
